Access to the following databases has been provided through HEC Digital Library Programme
HEC resources

Access to the high quality peer reviewed journals' databases and e-Books is provided to the National Defence University through HEC National Digital Library Programme. This IP address based access is available to you within University premises. However, off-the-Campus access through VPN is available to the NDU Faculty, MS/MPhil and PhD scholars. For further details please contact University Library.

VPN Connection Setup

To set up VPN service for Microsoft's Windows, follow the steps below:
  1. Click on the Network icon and Open Network and Sharing Center
  2. Click on Set up new connection or network
  3. Click on Connect to a workplace and Use my Internet connection(VPN)
  4. Add/enter the university provided Internet address (can be obtained from NDU lib staff) and click Create
  5. Click on Change adapter setting from the left pane of Network and Sharing Center
  6. Right click on VPN connection and connect
  7. Click on VPN Connection and enter user name and password (can be obtained from NDU lib staff)
Note:- Prior to setting up VPN Connection, please generate an email to syklibrary@ndu.edu.pk for the IP Address and Username/Password
