Major General Inayat Hussain

Major General Inayat Hussain was commissioned in 2 FF (Guides Infantry) in October 1991. He is graduate of Command & Staff College Quetta, Australian Command & Staff College Canberra and National Defence University, Islamabad. He holds Masters Degree in Defence Management from National Defence University Islamabad.

His early regimental stints include employment on Internal Security duties in Karachi, along LOC in Shaqma and on UN Mission in Eastern Slavonia, Croatia. He commanded his parent unit on United Nation Mission in Liberia and Cote D’Ivore and during operation Almizan in Dara Adam Khel. He commanded an Infantry Brigade deployed in Peshawar and surroundings during operation Al-Mizan. His major staff assignments include Brigade Major of an Infantry Brigade in operation Al-Mizan in North Waziristan Agency, Grade -1 Staff Officer (Plans) and Director Military Operations in Military Operations Directorate, General Headquarters.

On the instructional side, the General has been on the faculty of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, Command and Staff College Quetta and National Defence University, Islamabad. Presently he is serving as Chief Instructor B Division at National Defence University, Islamabad since June 2019. The General Officer is happily married and blessed with three daughters.
