Controller of Examinations is the custodian of scholar’s examination record and provides creditable support to the faculty and scholars in line with the best practices of the world, and extends services to the headquarters in their strategic objectives with continuous improvement and commitment. Controller Examination’s office, being responsible for examination records, takes the responsibility to provide quality service to scholars and faculty in all spheres of examination matters. Along with the other essential functions, it assumes transparency, integrity, secrecy and quality service as its core values. The main functions include conducting examinations, compilation and declaration of results, drawing a list roll of honors, preparation of degree transcripts as well as arranging the convocations. In order to extend promptly overwhelming services, the office of Controller Examinations has orchestrated a vibrant team consisting of Dy Controller of Exams, Assistant Controller Exams (Conduct) and Assistant Controller Exams (Secrecy) who are dedicated professionals, augmented with customer service skills.

CONDUCT OF EXAMINATIONS



Scholarships on the Basis of Academic Excellence

  1. Two scholarships will be offered in each department for each entry under this category.
  2. Students securing minimum 3.75/4/00 semester GPA in 1st seven semesters of BS, 1st , 2nd and 3rd Semesters of MSc and in the 1st and 2nd Semester of M.Phil / MS programs shall be considered for award of Scholarship in the following semester.
  3. Students securing first and second positions in each semester in each dept shall be awarded this scholarship irrespective of their status i.e nominated by Armed Forces, NDU employee and Scholarship holder from elsewhere.
  4. In case two or more students maintain the same GPA the decision will be made on the basis of fol:-
    • Higher Marks Secured.
    • If marks secured are also same, then decision will be made on the basis of:
      • Higher CGPA for students of 2nd semester onwards.
      • Higher Position on Admission merit list for students of 1st semester.
  5. The award shall be subject to exhibition of good discipline and moral conduct.
  6. The scholarship amount shall be paid in cash or adjusted in semester fee (with student’s consent) which shall be equal to:
    • 50 % of Semester Fee for students securing first positions with Semester GPA of 4.00/4.00.
    • 25% of Semester Fee for students securing first positions with Semester GPA less than (<) 4.00/4.00.
    • 25% of Semester Fee for students securing Second positions.




Transcripts/Degrees

Application Procedure for Award of Degree in Absentia (Before or after Convocation)

  1. The students who successfully complete the degree requirements may apply for award of Degree in absentia before or after the convocations
  2. The candidates who want to obtain the degrees in absentia before or after the convocations shall apply to the President NDU through the respective HoD and Dean of the Faculty for obtaining such degrees in absentia subject to payment of prescribed fee
  3. Normal Fee for degree in absentia is Rs. 1000/-(to be issued within in 10 working days) Students have to submit their applications to the CoE duly signed by respective HoD and Dean FCS along with the copy of clearance certificate (complete in all respects), copy of Matric Cert and receipt of Rs. 1000/- paid to the Finance branch of NDU
  4. Urgent Degrees in Absentia shall be issued within 3 working days of application upon payment of urgent fee worth Rs 5000/-. Students have to submit their applications to the CoE duly signed by respective HoD and Dean FCS along with the copy of clearance certificate (complete in all respects) and receipt of Rs. 5000/- paid to the Finance branch of NDU
