CERTIFICATE AWARD CEREMONY ANNUAL NATIONAL HARMONY WORKSHOP

After five days of busy schedule, 2nd Annual National Harmony Workshop culminated at National Defence University Islamabad. Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed was the chief guest while Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Faheem-Ullah Malik, SI (M), Deputy President NDU presided the ceremony.
AVM Faheem-Ullah Malik, SI (M), Deputy President NDU welcomed the honorable Chief Guest and thanked distinguished vice-chancellors and designated inquisitive representatives from their respected varsities who attended the workshop. Deputy President NDU emphasized that there is a dire need for rising above all kinds of biases and promoting a sense of tolerance towards all and hatred towards none. He gave vote of thanks to all exceptionally learned speakers and moderators of the workshop who put their efforts in making it successful and intellectually stimulating. Without their cooperation, the goals of “Manzil-e-Murad” would have not been possible. He also encouraged and wished the youth of Pakistan to make Pakistan as progressive and prosperous as our founding fathers had dreamt it to be.
The Chief Guest, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed congratulated the participants and appreciated the management of NDU to hold this workshop on national harmony and unity. He emphasized that such workshops played a pivotal role in enabling the progression of current environment of political maturity, fraternity and harmony in the country. This harmony has recently been observed in Beijing on CPEC at “Belt & Road Forum”, lead by Prime Minister and all four Provincial Chief Ministers, united in a quest for better tomorrow.
During his speech, he said that the scourge of terrorism is taking its last breath owing to effective and unified actions by the state against the terrorists. He also underlined the need on promoting national harmony in the country and called upon entire nation to be united against terrorism and extremism.
At the end, the Chief Guest awarded certificates to the successful participants of Annual National Harmony Workshop.
