MAJ GEN MUHAMMAD AAMER NAJAM, nswc, psc, fsc (US)

Major General Muhammad Aamer Najam was commissioned in 19th Battalion, the Sind Regiment on 11 October 1991. He is a graduate of Command and Staff College Quetta, Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth-USA and National Defence University, Islamabad. He has also attended Combined Arms Tactics Course from School of Infantry, Warminster-UK and International Military Officers Law of War Course from International Institute of Humanitarian Law, San Remo-Italy.

During his career, he has held numerous command, staff and instructional appointments including General Staff Officer-3 and Bridge Major of an Infantry Brigade, General Staff Officer-1 (Military Operation Directorate) and Chief of Staff HQ 11 Corps. He has been Platoon Commander and Adjutant at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul and Directing Staff as well as Chief Instructor at Command and Staff College Quetta. He has commanded his parent unit during Op Rah-e-Rast in Malakand/Swat, 102 Independent Infantry Brigade Group at Peshawar and 44 Special Security Division (South) at Gwadar.

The General Officer assumed the appointment of the Chief Instructor Bravo Division on 1st August 2021.
